Overview
History
Gastroenterology and Hepatology Research Center (IGHRC) was established in 2012. This center was approved in the 255th meeting of the Council for the Development of Medical Universities in Iran on 12/16/2014. This center is ready to cooperate in all research activities related to gastrointestinal and liver diseases with all individuals and scientific centers
Aims
Creating a suitable platform for the development of a database consisting of new and old diagnostic and treatment cases
Follow up all items in the database for response to treatment and longevity along with biological samples and their storage (sample bank)
Design and implementation of epidemiological, basic and clinical research projects on malignant gastrointestinal and liver diseases
Attracting interdepartmental, academic and international collaborations with the aim of promoting science and research of this research unit
Updating pathology diagnostic methods, clinical staging and treatment
This center will try to use research opportunities and experienced scientific staff in other fields of oncology research and related sciences such as immunology, biotechnology, genetics, etc.
Vision
The vision of this research center is to try to promote the position of research in the field of gastrointestinal and liver diseases,
both contagious and non-contagious, and it is hoped that it can play a key role in prevention, management and treatment
